Gather your Stones: Hematite, turquoise, bloodstone, garnet, red jasper. One or a combination.
Choose your Oils: Cedarwood, clary sage, patchouli
Set up your Space: Perform this ritual outside if you have a safe space in a yard or a park. Bare feet connecting with the Earth is the best for grounding ourselves! The wind is lovely when practicing grounding techniques to add another element to the ritual. Grounding is connected with the Root Chakra, wearing or incorporating the color red is an option as well. If working inside set up a safe space for your ritual, if using an altar, set up any inspirational photos, quotes or elements you like.
Ritual:
Remember, you can make these rituals as short or as long as you’d like-take what you need to regain balance!
You may anoint yourself with your oils or place in a diffuser nearby.
Begin standing in Mountain Pose (Tadasana) with your feet connected to the floor and the Earth. Allow the eyes to soften or close and the body to relax.
Take 3 cleaning breaths, in through the nose, out through the mouth.
Set your Mantra/Intention for your practice.
Offer yourself the Deep Roots Grounding Meditation.
Allow the eyes to open. Follow the breath and stretch in Bending Tree Pose.
When you feel steady offer Tree Pose (Vrksasana).
Find a seated position and let the sits bones root down toward the Earth.
Allow for another cleansing breath and let the eyes close.
Offer yourself the Root Chakra meditation.
Take as much time as you need from this space, when you are ready close the practice with a cleansing breath and return to the world grounded, supported & secure!
