Ritual
• Before any ritual you may offer a ritual bath with herbs and oils, also a cleansing of your space with sage or palo santo (flower petals or essential oils may be added, read oil labels) • You may set up your altar to sit and muse on these topics….invite the energy in, dedicate and call upon Aphrodite to bring creativity, passion and self-love into your life, write down any workings or thoughts in your journal. • This ritual and meditation are about offering yourself love, self-care and feeding your passions. Muse a bit on something you love, what gives you passion? To travel? Art? Nature? What lights up your soul? • We practice self-love through self-honoring decisions, is there anything in your life that make you feel less honorable, with stifled passion? What decision can you make today to honor yourself and bring about more self-love and passion into your life? • What can you do to honor who you are and love yourself, as is? To not have to ‘glamour’ or ‘put on a mask’ on for approval? Ex. If you wear makeup daily, can you go a day or a week with no makeup or going above or beyond to look good for someone else? Perhaps walk around the house after a shower without your towel. Stand in front of the mirror and honor every aspect of yourself……you are beautiful! • Mantras to work with this week include ‘I enjoy life and all it has to offer’, ‘I don’t apologize for who I am or what I like’, ‘I am passionate’, ‘I love and enjoy my body’, ‘I feel pleasure, I am open to intimacy and closeness’, ‘I have healthy boundaries with others’ • Ok, now your true ritual is this…..take yourself out on a date! What would make the perfect day for you? Include things you love, things that make you smile and that hold passion for you. Is there something you’ve been wanting to do for a while now? Do it! Give yourself all the attention and self-love you can handle. Find empowerment in honoring yourself and all that you truly hold dear. Go take that painting or Salsa dancing class and feed your soul!
*After this is done, look in the mirror again. Send yourself well wishes and promise to honor what you are passionate about in life. Remember your mantras. Write them down. Put sticky notes around the house or in your car. Keep your passions and creativity lit, and write something nice to yourself often.
