Gather your Stones: Citrine, garnet, carnelian, clear quartz. Any one or combination.
Choose your Oils: Citrus/orange, Peppermint, Lavender, Rosemary.
Yoga Props: Yoga bolster or large/long pillow. Pillow to sit on if desired.
Set up your Space: There is an option to perform this ritual outside if you have access to a yard or park, drawing on the sunshine to help uplift the mood. If working inside set up a safe space for your ritual, if using an altar, set up any inspirational photos, quotes or elements you like. Candle may be used with caution to incorporate fire element.
Ritual:
Remember, you can make these rituals as short or as long as you’d like-take what you need to regain balance!
You may anoint yourself with your oils or set in a diffuser nearby.
Find a comfortable seat, or lie down (remember NO candles if we may fall asleep!).
Your stone/earth element can be held in your hands, placed somewhere on your body or set nearby.
Give yourself 3 deep, cleansing breaths.
Follow the mindfulness of breathing meditation.
Set a Mantra/Intention for practice. Repeat to yourself 3 times.
Clasp your hands in front of your Solar Plexus Chakra, stay relaxed and envision a small flame or flicker in this area. Begin to fuel this fire with your breath in and out. See that flame grow bigger & brighter with each breath.
You may offer yourself the Manipura and/or the Gratitude meditation.
Give yourself the time you need in this space, when you are ready you can begin a short, light yoga flow.
Begin with a seated twist, allowing for tension to release.
Settle into Sphinx (Salamba Bhujangasana), honoring the low back. A bolster may be used to support the chest. If you edge allows, press up into Seal for 3 breaths & lower.
Slowly release and sink into Child’s Pose (Balasana). Allow the earth to support you and find solace in your breath as the lower back releases.
Half Lord of the Fishes Pose (Ardha Matsyendrasana), allow for a final wringing out of remaining tention.
Reclined Bound Angle (Supta Bada Konasana) with bolster, take time to rest and connect and open to your open heart
Corpse (Savasana)-allow yourself to surrender and allow that flame to burn bright with your breath, filling you with confidence and personal power.
Slowly sit up, offering yourself a final cleansing breath to release your practice. Return yourself to the world uplifted and confident to take on any challenge you face!
